As a funeral celebrant who has led hundreds of services I am here to help construct the service, write the eulogy and incorporate all the personal elements you and your family want into this unique occasion – then lead the service on the day.
I appreciate that arranging a funeral or memorial service can be extremely difficult when you are experiencing grief – there is so much to think about but you also want to get the service right. Working with a professional funeral celebrant like me - will mean you feel comfortable and supported throughout - allowing you to make important decisions with confidence.
It’s all about collaboration – working together to create something special. I will be with you every step of the way to create a bespoke ceremony that’ll last in your hearts forever.
I am here to help you discuss the person who has died. Their life, their loves and their relationship with others. All the distinctive things that made the person you have lost, special and talk about the legacy that they now leave to you and others. Their funeral service being a part of that final gift of their life.
I live in the North East of England and will travel to meet with you where you are most comfortable.
I love telling stories – something I have done all my professional life. For twenty-five years I worked as a TV and Radio Producer; working on a broad range of programmes from the Archers to DIY SOS, which meant working with many different people from varying backgrounds and experiences. My role involved devising running orders, writing scripts, researching stories and helping TV presenters communicate engaging tales to their audiences. These skills are central to me being able to help you create the most fitting funeral.
My compassionate nature led me to the charity sector, where I have spent ten years in senior fundraising roles for some of the UK's leading charities and organisations, such as the NSPCC and NHS, utilising all my people skills to make a difference. Working as a funeral celebrant for many years is the most rewarding role I have ever undertaken. It is a true vocation that enables me to help you navigate one of life's most significant events.
I am married to husband, Ross, and have two grown up children. I hail from the midlands, but I now live on the North East coast where I love the beauty of the sea and the local people.
I will arrange a face-to-face visit, or virtual meeting. I can email you some questions to help guide our meeting.
During this visit I will spend time listening to you and help draw out the personality and details of the life of the person you have lost.
I send you a draft of the eulogy and the order of service for your approval
I will be there on the day to conduct the service with dignity and professionalism.
You will receive a specially designed printed copy of the eulogy to cherish forever.
This includes all travel within a 30-mile radius of NE30 – happy to consider taking services further afield.
